Mommy and Daddy took a vaca!!!
We were fortunate to go to Napa years ago with Renee & Chuck (before we were married). We promised ourselves at that time that we would come back on our 5 year anniversary.
Well, you can probably guess what happened.
Life happened.
Our little Graham got diagnosed with Infantile Spasms and it just wasn't a good time to leave.
The next year, we made a lifestyle change with mama resigning from Corporate America and once again, financially, it wasn't the time.
This past January, our good friends, Justin & Beka asked us if we would be interested in going. Um, of course! But, could we swing it? It was one of those times when I just said, somehow, someway, we will make it work.
And we did.
And we couldn't be happier we said yes!
Started with 2 nights in San Fran .... a beautiful B&B called The Parsonage in lower Haight area.
First day, checked in, did some walking to the Castro District and a wonderful dinner @ Absinthe... just the 2 of us. ;)
Second day, a tour of Alcatraz and a LOT of walking to Ghiradelli Square, Lombard Street (most curves ever) including a delicious lunch at the Wharf Area (with the Short's and the McNeil's).
Third day, we spent the day with Matt & Danita...San Francisco Bay and Haight & Ashbury (where the Hippie Revolution began).
Then, picked up Jason & Nancy and off we went. First stop, Muir Woods.
Now, Napa bound...
Girls took a ride in the convertible to grab some things from the grocery... :)
| Napa day in the Limo... |
Del Dotto Winery (cave tour)
Robert Mondavi Winery
Us girls...just because
Darioush Winery...because we had a few more minutes to kill in the limo and why not hit another winery??? :)
Last full day...Sonoma bound...
Cline Winery
Domaine Carneros Winery (and tour of how they make Pinot Noir & Champagne)
The boys...just because.
Artesa Winery
Spent a lot 'o time around this table while in Napa...a lot of laughs, a lot of memories.
Thankful.
