SNODGRASS means Smooth Grass
This is our family's journey as we "walk" through life together...

Two Shall Become One

Two Shall Become One
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. -Genesis 2:24

Daddy did it!!!

What once seemed like 'today would never come'----it is here! Scott took his final class last night at Missouri Baptist! What a MILESTONE! He texted me yesterday to remember to Praise God for without Him none of this would have been possible. Two LONG years of long night classes, paper after paper, exams, sometimes even Saturday classes...yes, there is reason to celebrate! In addition to finishing his last class, that means his practicum is also complete. A practicum is basically a whole lot of hours of work you have to put in at a school for free! Scott did his practicum at Francis Howell (St. Charles, MO) and met a lot of great people and contacts along the way. Stephanie Darst and both our moms played a key part in watching Adeline to make it possible for Scott to put in the day time hours in the schools since he has been working part time (evenings and weekends) - after Addy was born. We can't thank them enough! Scott also passed his praxis (an exam) about a month ago. So, a few small items to do...portfolio and licensure, but the 'bulk' of the work is completed - dual masters in school counseling and professional counseling! After a while, you get used to the crazy schedules - not seeing each other at night - having to make the most of the weekends. Not having a lot of family time together. It can wear a person down, I am not going to lie, especially with a new born. But we survived - actually, we persevered; Scott persevered! Thank you Lord for seeing us through this time. Thank you for the opportunity you gave Scott. It is obvious this is his 'gift' and we are thankful he will be able to continue to use it in the future. Scott, I am SO very proud of you! I love you and am so thankful for you!  PS-Adeline is very proud of her daddy too! :)
