Snodgrass Clan came to our home this year. We spent the entire weekend together...watching movies, opening gifts, a trip to Main St. for the Santa Parade, wine and much more. Such a good weekend with family.
All the Santas...
A Christmas celebration with Grandma was SO FUN too!
Kids loved every minute of it...can't you tell? ;)
We opted to do something different this year over Christmas break...we went to Big Cedar Lodge!
It was beautiful and this was our adorable little log cabin we stayed in for 3 nights.
Felt almost like Little House on the Prairie. :)
First night we decided to go ice skating. Well, me, Ads and the little boys. Dad and Graham watched. BUT...It was FAKE ice, so no one really did any ice skating at all! We just scooted! LOL!
Ended the night with hot cocoa around the fire...
We watched a few movies including The Polar Express, A Christmas Story and Rudolf!
We spent a day in Silver Dollar City. It is one of the top 10 attractions to see at Christmas time because of the lights. We can assure you, the lights are amazing! BUT, the lines are CRAZY! Thankfully the littles did SO well! We got to ride a few rides, see a Rudolf parade, a live nativity scene and a ga-billion Christmas lights! Not to mention the weather was an unseasonably warm day of 65 degrees! SO NICE!
Right before heading out. Are these kids cute or what???
Me and Jojo riding a ride together.
LIGHTS and MORE LIGHTS!
Addy and Francis on a ride together!
Daddy riding a ride with the littles.
Cutest gingerbread cookies EVER! :)
We spent time walking around Big Cedar too...cold, but fun!
Don't forget games!
And bowling!
That face says it ALL...
Oh, and lots of SNUGGLES too!!!
Yes, Big Cedar was good to us and good for us as a family. We needed quality time, undivided time, intentional time together before daddy starts his new job. That will be a transition for ALL of us...
Then there was our always special, Christmas at home. In our PJs all day. Slow morning. Time spent together. It's probably my favorite day of the year!
We get up and open stockings...
Daddy reads the birth of Jesus from Luke in the Bible.
We have breakfast...Its a super yummy one!
And then presents...we try hard not to go overboard (ask Santa not to either). We love the gifts and the sparkle in the littles' eyes when they open a gift, but also don't want that to get "lost" with SO many gifts.
This one...he was happiest of all with his new ball. He's become a great dribbler these days. Dribbling that ball all over our home and we LOVE it!
We lucked out and got a good snow this year! Finally!!!
Even took the littles sledding!
Merry Christmas and Cheers to 2018!
